Key filters do not appear if there are errors on the page !

The key filters will appear once we set the managed metadata settings for a list / document library in sharepoint 2010.

But it so happens that if have a filter webpart which is not connected to any webparts on the page, then it causes the Key filters not to work !!. Yes, its intresting but, it happens. Which took me a day to figure it out. Since i was editing the page in designer and i wanted to view my layout and key filters was not appearing at all as i was having a non conected filter webpart.
